Self-Care

The holiday season can be one of stress for many individuals.  It is important that we all take time to take care of ourselves at a time that is often busy with events and doing things for others.  Even if you can only take 30 minutes a day, a few times a week, be sure you are engaging in self-care.

Some easy ideas for self-care:

Quite time for reflection or meditation.

Journaling.

Enjoy a cup or tea in a quiet, relaxing environment.

Take a nap.

Read a book.

Call a friend just to chat.

Listen to music.

Exercise is a huge benefit for both your body and mind. Whether you’re lifting weights, running, taking a walk, or doing yoga, you will receive both physical and mental health benefits.

Self-care is something that is of great importance to your overall well-being, including your mental health.  As you are busy this holiday seasons (and always!), be sure to take that time for yourself. Be kind to yourself, you deserve it!
